Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday dedicated 24×7 Drinking Water Project and Drink from Tap Mission “Sujal” in Cuttack City through video conference.
Built at a cost of Rs 790 crore, the 24-hour drinking water supply system will benefit more than 7 lakh people in the Cuttack city.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister expressed his happiness that all families in 60 cities of the state, including Cuttack, have been provided with 24-hour piped water. “Soon, all households in all 114 cities in the state will be provided with 24-hour piped water,” the Odisha CM said.
Today, CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Drink from Tap Project in two zones of Cuttack. By December 2023, the entire city will be included in the Drink from Tap program.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated three water treatment plants built at a cost of Rs 430 crore.
