Tom Holland’s latest Spider-Man adventure has reportedly entered one of Hollywood’s most exclusive box-office clubs.
Crossing the $2 billion mark at the worldwide box office is a rare achievement, reserved for some of the biggest blockbusters in cinema history. Now, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reportedly joined that elite group.
Starring Tom Holland, the superhero film has earned around $2.02 billion worldwide after just three weekends in theatres, making it the eighth film ever to cross the $2 billion milestone.
Released globally on July 31, the film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and continues the Spider-Man franchise with Holland in the lead.
According to the figures cited in the report, Spider-Man: Brand New Day reached $2 billion in just three weekends, making it the second-fastest film to hit the milestone after Avengers: Endgame.
The achievement is also significant for the Spider-Man franchise. The film has surpassed Spider-Man: No Way Home, which finished with approximately $1.9 billion worldwide.

7. Avengers: Infinity War — $2.05 billion
Released in 2018, Avengers: Infinity War became the first Marvel Cinematic Universe film to cross $2 billion worldwide.

The film eventually earned around $2.05 billion globally.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens revived the iconic franchise in 2015 and introduced a new generation of characters alongside familiar faces.

James Cameron’s Titanic remains one of cinema’s most enduring box-office successes.
The 1997 romantic disaster film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, eventually accumulated around $2.26 billion worldwide.

James Cameron returned to Pandora with Avatar: The Way of Water in 2022, more than a decade after the original Avatar.
The sequel expanded the story of the Sully family while showcasing Pandora’s underwater world.
The film crossed $2 billion within around six weeks and ultimately collected approximately $2.33 billion worldwide.
With Avatar, Titanic and Avatar: The Way of Water, Cameron also became the first director to have three films cross the billion-dollar mark.

Few films generated the same level of anticipation as Avengers: Endgame.

It also briefly overtook Avatar as the highest-grossing film of all time before Avatar regained the top spot.

It crossed the $2 billion mark just 47 days after its release, establishing a box-office benchmark that very few films have been able to match.
