Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday conducted an extensive survey of flood‑affected areas in various blocks of Jajpur district, travelling by boat to assess the damage and interact with local residents.
Accompanied by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, BJP State President Manmohan Samal, MPs and MLAs, the Chief Minister visited Kasapa and Tarapada Panchayats in Dasarathpur, meeting villagers in Ramchandrapur, Balda, and Dhobabil. He listened to their concerns and assured swift relief and rehabilitation support.
Majhi emphasised that the safety and assistance of flood‑affected families remain the government’s top priority, with immediate relief including dry and cooked food, drinking water, and healthcare services being delivered to affected households.
He further stated that the government is committed to implementing permanent flood control measures to prevent recurring crises in northern Odisha.
