Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will undertake an on-the-spot inspection of flood-affected areas in Bhadrak and Jajpur districts on Monday.
The visit comes at a critical time as a low-pressure system over the northwest Bay of Bengal continues to bring heavy rainfall to northern Odisha. Both Bhadrak and Jajpur remain under red warning from the India Meteorological Department, with significant waterlogging, displacement of people, and ongoing relief operations.
During the visit, the Chief Minister is expected to assess the ground-level situation, interact with affected families, review the functioning of relief camps, and take stock of rescue and restoration efforts being carried out by district administrations, ODRAF, NDRF, and other agencies.
The announcement follows a high-level review meeting held by Chief Secretary Anu Garg on Saturday, where detailed instructions were issued for intensified monitoring and response in the worst-affected districts.
