Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi dismissed newly appointed OT&AS officer Bhimsen Tudu from government service after his arrest in a criminal case.
Tudu, who recently joined the Odisha Taxation and Accounts Service, went missing from his induction training on June 4, 2026. He skipped his final examination at the Madhusudan Das Regional Academy of Financial Management. During that period, police arrested him in connection with a death case registered at the Barang police station. Authorities sent him to judicial custody.
The Chief Minister ordered his immediate dismissal under service rules, citing his detention for more than 48 hours in a criminal case. Officials confirmed that Tudu will not be eligible for any government employment in the future.
