Bhubaneswar: Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay on Wednesday evening inaugurated DNA Profiling Unit and Cyber Forensic Unit under Nirbhaya Scheme in State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL), Bhubaneswar campus.
With an objective of expeditious dispensation of justice in such cases, decision was taken to strengthen DNA and Cyber Forensic Divisions of FSL, Odisha under Nirbhaya scheme.
In the first phase, one additional Unit of DNA Profiling and one additional Unit of Cyber Forensic have been established. Various equipment/ software of both the Divisions have been procured and contractual Technical Experts have been engaged in both the Divisions.
Among others, ADGP CID, CB, Sanjeeb Panda, IPS, IGP cum Director SFSL, Bhubaneswar Rajesh Kumar attended the meeting.
