Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced that beneficiaries will receive a one-time disbursement of three months’ allowance, addressing delays caused by technical updates from the Centre.
He assured that the issue will be resolved soon and emphasised that the government remains committed to delivering benefits without further disruption.
Majhi made the announcement during celebrations marking two years of the BJP government in Odisha. He highlighted that the administration has implemented 121 schemes in this period, strengthening the state’s progress under the double-engine model. He said the government has focused on providing electricity, drinking water, and roads to villages, areas where the previous government failed.
The Chief Minister criticised the former BJD government for neglecting farmers and women’s empowerment. He said the BJP government has created opportunities for women through initiatives like Lakshpati Didi, making Odisha a leading state in self-help group empowerment. Majhi added that farmers now feel confident about their livelihood, contrasting with the earlier administration’s failures.
He reiterated that technical issues had delayed allowance payments but assured that the backlog would be cleared with a one-time release of three months’ benefits. Majhi described the announcement as part of the government’s broader vision of building a prosperous Odisha and ensuring transparency in governance.
