Vikram Dev University’s Department of Sociology successfully hosted a two-day National Seminar on “Equity, Inclusivity, and Sustainability: Reconfiguring Development Practices in India” on March 22-23, 2025.

The event brought together esteemed scholars, policymakers, and students from across the nation to discuss and explore forward-thinking solutions for India’s development trajectory.

The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Devi Prasad Misra, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor/OSD of Vikram Dev University. In his address, he underlined the importance of integrating equity and sustainability into policymaking, emphasizing their role in fostering social justice and environmental stewardship.
