India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has been withdrawn from the upcoming T20I series against Ireland and England.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that the decision was taken on medical advice to manage his workload and ensure full recovery ahead of a long international season.
Following consultations between the BCCI Medical Team and team management, Siraj was advised to rest as a precautionary measure. The Men’s Selection Committee named Prasidh Krishna as his replacement for both series.
The updated squad, led by Shreyas Iyer, includes Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Shivam Dube, Tilak Varma (VC), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Varun Chakaravarthy, Ravi Bishnoi, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, and Prasidh Krishna.
Siraj’s absence opens the door for Krishna, who will look to make an impact in the series. The squad blends experienced players with emerging talents, reflecting India’s strategy to prepare for future tournaments while maintaining competitiveness in current fixtures.
