A reported phone conversation between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has drawn international attention amid escalating tensions in Lebanon and ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran.

According to reports, Trump expressed frustration over Israel’s continued military operations in Lebanon, warning that further escalation could complicate diplomatic efforts in the region and increase global criticism of Israel.

Trump Reportedly Criticizes Netanyahu

Sources familiar with the discussion told international media outlets that Trump strongly objected to Israel’s planned military actions in Beirut and other parts of Lebanon.

The reported exchange came at a sensitive time, as Iran has indicated that continued Israeli military activity in Lebanon could jeopardize ongoing discussions with Washington regarding broader regional security issues.

Reports suggest Trump warned that continued strikes causing civilian casualties could further isolate Israel internationally and create additional obstacles for diplomatic engagement in the Middle East.

Iran Links Lebanon Situation to US Negotiations

Iran has repeatedly emphasized that developments in Lebanon remain a key factor in its diplomatic calculations. Iranian officials have reportedly warned that ongoing military operations by Israel could affect the future of negotiations with the United States.

Iranian parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf reiterated support for Lebanon and stressed that Tehran closely monitors developments involving Hezbollah and Israeli military operations.

Netanyahu Reaffirms Israel’s Position

Following the reported conversation, Netanyahu stated that Israel would continue taking action against threats originating from Lebanon while maintaining pressure on Hezbollah.

The Israeli leader reiterated that his government’s security policy remains unchanged and that military operations would continue if attacks against Israel persist.

However, reports indicate that some planned military actions in Beirut may have been reconsidered following diplomatic discussions involving the United States.

Partial Ceasefire Announced

Lebanese authorities later announced a limited ceasefire arrangement between Israel and Hezbollah. The agreement reportedly includes restrictions on military activities in and around Beirut, while Hezbollah is expected to reduce attacks targeting Israel.

Although the arrangement does not represent a comprehensive peace agreement, analysts view it as a potential step toward reducing tensions and preventing a broader regional conflict.

Growing International Concern

The conflict has raised concerns among global leaders, who fear that continued fighting could destabilize the wider Middle East. Diplomatic efforts are intensifying as regional and international stakeholders seek to prevent further escalation.

The reported Trump-Netanyahu disagreement highlights the complex balance between military objectives, regional security concerns, and ongoing diplomatic negotiations involving multiple countries.

As developments continue, the international community remains focused on whether the partial ceasefire can hold and whether diplomatic channels can prevent a wider confrontation across the region.
