Brad Pitt Wins Key Court Ruling in Château Miraval Dispute With Angelina Jolie

Nearly a decade after their highly publicized separation, Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie remain locked in a legal battle over Château Miraval, the French winery they once owned together.

While the former couple finalized their divorce in 2024, disputes surrounding the multimillion-dollar estate continue to generate fresh courtroom developments.

Brad Pitt Secures Important Legal Win

In the latest twist, Brad Pitt has secured a favorable court ruling related to Angelina Jolie’s 2021 sale of her stake in Château Miraval.

According to court records, a Michigan judge ordered Todd Culyba, the former General Counsel of the Stoli Group, to return for a second deposition. The decision comes after Pitt’s legal team argued that several important questions regarding the winery transaction remained unanswered during previous testimony.

The ruling requires Culyba to respond to questions concerning the business aspects of Jolie’s sale of her stake to Tenute del Mondo, a company associated with the Stoli Group.

Dispute Over Winery Sale Continues

The Château Miraval dispute dates back to 2022 when Pitt filed a lawsuit claiming Jolie sold her ownership share without his consent. Pitt’s legal team argues that the former couple had an agreement restricting either party from selling their stake without mutual approval.

Jolie has consistently denied the existence of such an agreement and maintains that she was legally entitled to complete the sale.

The latest court decision is viewed as a significant development for Pitt’s legal strategy as he seeks additional information about how the transaction was structured and who was involved in facilitating the deal.

Angelina Jolie Recently Claimed Her Own Victory

The legal battle has seen victories for both sides.

Earlier this month, Angelina Jolie won a court ruling in California after a judge rejected Pitt’s attempt to access a series of confidential emails linked to the winery sale.

The court upheld attorney-client privilege protections, preventing Pitt’s legal team from reviewing the documents.

Jolie’s attorney described the decision as an important win, arguing that the requested communications were private and legally protected.

However, legal experts note that the ruling was issued without prejudice, meaning Pitt’s attorneys may attempt a revised request in the future.

New Legal Challenge for Brad Pitt

Beyond the Château Miraval dispute, Pitt is also facing another lawsuit involving his luxury skincare brand.

Reports indicate that Malibu-based skincare company Beau D has filed legal action against Pitt’s Beau Domaine brand, alleging that the name is too similar and may create confusion among consumers.

The lawsuit seeks financial compensation and requests that the Beau Domaine branding be discontinued.

Spotlight Turns to the Former Couple’s Children

While legal battles continue, public attention has increasingly shifted toward Pitt and Jolie’s children.

Recent reports suggest that several of the couple’s children have chosen to use the Jolie surname publicly. Shiloh has reportedly legally dropped Pitt from her name, while Zahara, Vivienne, and Maddox have also been publicly identified using the Jolie surname in various settings.

These developments have attracted significant media attention as the family continues to navigate life following one of Hollywood’s most closely watched separations.

A Dispute Far From Over

Despite finalizing their divorce, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s legal disagreements remain unresolved. With ongoing lawsuits, new court rulings, and multiple business-related disputes, the Château Miraval case continues to be one of the most closely followed legal battles in Hollywood.

As both sides pursue their claims, further courtroom developments are expected in the months ahead.
