Odisha BJP President and MP Manmohan Samal announced that allowance distribution problems in the state will be resolved within 15 days.
He explained that delays occurred due to the rollout of new software, which disrupted payments for the past two months.
Samal clarified that beneficiaries receiving allowances in cash faced no issues. However, those whose payments were processed online experienced disruptions. He said the Centre and the state government are jointly working to streamline the system and ensure smooth disbursement.
According to Samal, the Centre has already initiated the development of new software to address technical glitches. He assured that once the system stabilises, pending allowances will be released in a single installment to affected beneficiaries.
The BJP leader emphasized that the government remains committed to resolving the matter quickly. He added that the new arrangement will prevent similar disruptions in the future.
