FWICE recently issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh after filmmaker Farhan Akhtar reportedly approached the organisation regarding losses linked to the actor’s sudden departure from Don 3.

During a recent interaction with paparazzi in Mumbai, Rakhi Sawant strongly defended Ranveer Singh and accused people in the industry of being jealous of his success.
Speaking about the controversy, Rakhi criticised those calling for action against the actor and praised Ranveer and Deepika Padukone for building successful careers through hard work and dedication.
She also questioned why only Ranveer was being targeted and claimed some people were trying to gain publicity through the controversy.

Rakhi also took a swipe at filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, suggesting that the ongoing controversy was being amplified for attention. She alleged that Ranveer’s name was being used to remain in the public spotlight.

The issue began after reports surfaced that Ranveer Singh had exited Don 3, the upcoming installment in Farhan Akhtar’s popular action franchise.
Ranveer was officially announced as the lead actor in 2023, taking over the franchise after Shah Rukh Khan headlined Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011). However, reports later claimed that the actor stepped away from the project following the success of his film Dhurandhar.
According to reports, Farhan Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani alleged that Ranveer’s abrupt exit caused significant financial losses to the production.
FWICE subsequently issued a non-cooperation directive against the actor, escalating tensions within the film industry.

Following the controversy, Ranveer Singh’s spokesperson released an official statement clarifying the actor’s position.
“Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and for everyone associated with the Don franchise. Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect,” the statement said.

Amid the fallout, rumours emerged suggesting that actor Hrithik Roshan could replace Ranveer Singh in Don 3. However, reports later stated that Hrithik dismissed the speculation.
The controversy has now become one of the biggest talking points in Bollywood, with fans closely watching whether the makers will officially announce a new lead actor or resolve the dispute with Ranveer Singh.
