Mouni Roy attended Cannes for the presentation of Bombay Stories at Marche du Film alongside actor Anupria Goenka.
Directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi, the independent film is inspired by Hatak, one of the most acclaimed short stories by legendary writer Saadat Hasan Manto.
The film explores the lives of sex workers through a humane and satirical lens and also stars Sushmita Singh in a pivotal role.
With its Cannes presentation, the makers aim to introduce the project to international audiences and global film distributors.

Mouni’s appearance at Cannes also comes shortly after she and husband Suraj Nambiar announced their separation after four years of marriage.
