The warning came after Iranian media reports claimed the US had placed a fresh set of conditions on Tehran before restarting peace negotiations.
“For Iran, the clock is ticking,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, adding that Tehran must “move fast” or “there won’t be anything left of them.”
US Reportedly Places Tough Conditions on Iran
According to Iran’s Fars news agency, the US has demanded several major concessions from Tehran to resume talks.
The reported demands include:
- Removal of 400 kilograms of enriched uranium from Iran
- Limiting Iran to only one operational nuclear facility
- No payment of war reparations to Iran
- Releasing only a limited portion of frozen Iranian assets
- A ceasefire linked directly to continued negotiations
Iranian outlet Mehr News Agency claimed Washington was seeking concessions it failed to secure during the conflict itself.
The reports have not yet been officially confirmed by the White House.
Iran Pushes Back With Its Own Conditions
Iran has also reportedly laid out its own conditions before agreeing to return to the negotiating table.
According to Iranian media, Tehran’s demands include:
- An end to military operations across all fronts
- Lifting US sanctions on Iran
- Release of frozen Iranian financial assets
- Compensation for war-related damages
- Recognition of Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz
One of the biggest sticking points remains the conflict involving Lebanon-based Hezbollah forces, backed by Iran.
Iran reportedly wants military operations involving Lebanon to stop completely, while Israel and the United States remain opposed to that condition.
Tensions Rise Over Strait of Hormuz
The Strait of Hormuz continues to remain a critical flashpoint in the crisis.
The narrow waterway is one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes, carrying a major share of global crude exports. Any escalation in the region could disrupt energy markets and global supply chains.
Iran’s insistence on sovereignty over the strategic route has added further complications to already fragile negotiations.
Trump Says ‘Time Is of the Essence’
Trump’s latest statement has intensified fears of renewed confrontation in the region.
While he did not directly threaten military action, his social media posts suggested that Washington may take a tougher stance if negotiations collapse completely.
“TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!” Trump wrote, alongside AI-generated visuals and videos showing American military strikes against Iran.
The comments come as global leaders continue to call for restraint and a permanent diplomatic solution to avoid wider regional instability.
Global Concerns Over Energy and Security
The ongoing uncertainty surrounding US-Iran relations has already impacted global energy markets and diplomatic relations across West Asia.
Countries dependent on Middle Eastern oil supplies are closely monitoring developments, while international observers fear that failure in negotiations could trigger another major escalation.
Despite the temporary ceasefire, both sides continue to exchange warnings, keeping the region on edge.
