The Gajapati district administration announced a three-day holiday for all schools from April 22 to April 24. The directive covers government, aided, and private institutions from Sishu Vatika to Class XII.
Officials stated that the decision was taken as a preventive measure to safeguard students from the prevailing heatwave conditions. The order emphasised that examinations scheduled earlier will continue as per the fixed timetable, ensuring academic activities remain unaffected.
The Collector’s office confirmed that the closure applies to all schools across the district. Teachers and staff will continue to manage examinations and administrative duties, while students will remain at home for safety.
