India’s T20 World Cup-winning stars Abhishek Sharma and Axar Patel joined the National Anti-Doping Agency’s (NADA) Registered Testing Pool (RTP) for the second quarter of the year, replacing Smriti Mandhana and Shreyas Iyer.
The latest NADA list includes 348 sportspersons who must share their daily whereabouts and remain available for testing. Three failures to provide details count as a doping violation.
Fourteen cricketers feature in the pool, including Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, K L Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Arshdeep Singh, and Tilak Verma. Women’s team members Deepti Sharma, Shafali Verma, and Renuka Singh Thakur also remain on the list.
Athletics continues to dominate the RTP with 134 entries, up from 118 in the previous quarter. The list includes Avinash Sable, Jyothi Yarraji, Tejaswin Shankar, Animesh Kujur, Shaili Singh, M Sreeshankar, and Tajinderpal Singh Toor.
Other sports also feature prominently. Archery includes Deepika Kumari, Rakesh Kumar, and para-archer Sheetal Devi. Hockey stars Manpreet Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas, Hardik Singh, and women’s captain Salima Tete are listed.
Badminton has eight athletes, including P V Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, and Gayatri Gopichand. Boxing contributes 22 names, such as Nikhat Zareen, Lovlina Borgohain, Nishant Dev, and Jaismine Lamboria. Wrestling adds 31 athletes, including Olympic bronze medallist Aman Sehrawat.
