Odisha witnessed a spectacular Holi celebration today, with festivities painting the state in vibrant hues of joy, unity, and devotion.

From the Twin Cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack to Puri, the festival of colors brought communities together in a grand display of cultural and spiritual fervor.

In Bhubaneswar & Cuttack, authorities ensured a safe and joyous celebration by deploying police personnel to maintain law and order. Citizens were encouraged to celebrate responsibly, with strict measures in place against alcohol consumption and late-hour disturbances.

Puri, the divine abode of Lord Jagannath, added a spiritual touch to the celebrations. Devotees gathered at Srimandir, where the deities were adorned with fragrant colors and sandalwood paste. The serene and devotional atmosphere was complemented by the echo of kirtans and the distribution of special bhog.

Across the state, unique traditions like the Dola Yatra procession, Matka Phod in Berhampur, and Rangotsav in Sambalpur showcased Odisha’s rich cultural heritage. The Dola Yatra, a procession featuring beautifully decorated palanquins carrying idols of Lord Krishna, captivated onlookers with its blend of music, dance, and devotion.

As the skies of Odisha turned into a canvas of colors, the festival reinforced messages of love, unity, and togetherness. Holi in Odisha was not just a celebration of colors but a vibrant expression of the state’s cultural and spiritual essence.
