In response to the escalating Middle East conflict triggered by recent US-Israeli airstrikes on Iran, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to convene a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) tonight. The meeting is scheduled to take place upon his return to Delhi after a two-day official visit to Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

Sources have confirmed that the Prime Minister will land in Delhi at approximately 9:30 PM on Sunday. The CCS meeting, which will address the growing geopolitical tensions, is expected to focus on assessing the situation and formulating India’s response to the ongoing crisis.

During his visit to Madurai, Modi laid the foundation stone for several development projects, underscoring his government’s focus on regional progress. However, with global security at a crossroads, national security and strategic planning will be at the forefront of the discussions tonight.

The US-Israeli strikes on Iran have sparked widespread concern globally, with India closely monitoring the developments due to its geopolitical interests in the region. The CCS meeting is expected to examine the implications of the crisis on India’s national security, energy supply, and diplomatic relations in the Middle East.
