A disturbing video showing youths killing a wild boar and roasting its meat went viral on social media.
Forest Department Investigation
The incident triggered immediate action from the Dharmagarh South Forest Division under the Ampani Forest Section. Forest officials, led by Rajendra Naik, reached Teliguda village to investigate. They visited households and questioned locals after identifying a youth named Madhusudan Majhi in the viral footage.
Officials interrogated Madhusudan at his residence. They pressed him for details about the video and his involvement. The probe gained momentum as the video circulated widely, raising concerns about illegal hunting and wildlife protection.
Hyderabad Link Emerges
During the investigation, officials discovered that the viral wild boar killing video originated from Hyderabad, not Teliguda village. This revelation shifted the focus of the inquiry. The Forest Department warned Madhusudan and returned without further action.
