Gold and silver prices climbed upward again after falling for two consecutive days.
The 24‑carat gold price increased by Rs 2,890 per 10 grams, reaching Rs 1,56,600. Similarly, the 22‑carat gold price rose by Rs 2,650 per 10 grams, now standing at Rs 1,43,550.
Silver also witnessed a sharp rise. The price per kilogram jumped by Rs 5,000, taking the rate to Rs 2,85,000.
The sudden rebound in gold and silver prices has created mixed reactions among buyers. While investors see this as a sign of renewed strength in the bullion market, customers planning weddings and large purchases expressed concern over the rising costs.
Market analysts note that fluctuations in international demand and currency values continue to influence local bullion prices. With the wedding season ongoing, the upward trend may add financial pressure on households.
