The Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha, has reopened the online scholarship portal under the Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana for the academic session 2025–26.
The move provides fresh students with an opportunity to apply against remaining vacancies in various scholarship schemes.
According to an official notification, the portal will accept new online applications from February 6 to February 26, 2026. No further extension will be granted beyond this deadline. Heads of institutions and principals are required to complete validation of submitted applications by March 6, 2026.
The reopened portal covers multiple scholarship categories, including:
- e-Medhabruti (UG Merit)
- e-Medhabruti (PG Merit)
- e-Medhabruti (Technical and Professional Merit)
- Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti Scheme
- Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana
A separate merit list will be prepared at the departmental level for applications received during this window.
To streamline verification, the department has made it mandatory for Non-SAMS students to upload required documents through DigiLocker.
