Sangram Keshari Mohapatra formally assumed charge as the Chairman (in-charge) of the Western Odisha Development Council (WODC) today at the council headquarters.
Officers and staff members extended greetings and expressed their support during the joining ceremony.
Mohapatra took charge as WODC Chairman after his appointment as Revenue Commissioner of Northern Odisha. He also continues to hold responsibilities as the Revenue Commissioner of Southern Odisha, reflecting his wide administrative role.
Following his joining, Mohapatra held discussions with council officials on various programmes and initiatives under the WODC. Officers briefed him about ongoing projects and development activities across western Odisha.
In his address, Mohapatra urged all officials and staff to work collectively with dedication to achieve the council’s common goals. He emphasised that the WODC must function in a more people-centric manner in the coming days and contribute significantly to the state government’s vision of a developed Odisha.
Mohapatra highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts and assured that the council will strengthen its role in addressing regional needs and accelerating development in western Odisha.
