The Odisha Government fixed new fare rates for motor cabs and three-wheelers across the state, ensuring clarity for government officials claiming travelling allowances.
The Commerce and Transport Department released an official order numbered 1681/TRN-LC-MISC-0007-2017 on February 5, 2026. The order specified the fare structure for different categories of vehicles, including e-rickshaws, auto rickshaws, standard cars, luxury cars, and premium luxury cars.
The schedule set the fare for e-rickshaws at Rs 8 per kilometre with a minimum fare of Rs 30. Auto rickshaws will charge Rs 9 per kilometre with the same minimum fare. Standard motor cars, excluding luxury and premium categories, will charge Rs 14 per kilometre with a minimum fare of Rs 75. Luxury A/C cars such as Bolero, Neo, and Ertiga will charge Rs 16 per kilometre with a minimum fare of Rs 85. Premium luxury cars, including Scorpio, XUV 500, and Innova, will charge Rs 19 per kilometre with a minimum fare of Rs 100.
