Odisha’s Minister for Law, Works and Excise, Prithviraj Harichandan, today formally launched two transformative digital initiatives by the Works Department: the upgraded Contractor Database Management System (CDMS) 3.0 and the new e-IB online booking portal.
CDMS 3.0 marks a significant upgrade from the original system introduced in 2018, shifting to a modern technological architecture with advanced features including workflow management, analytical dashboards, MIS reports, and seamless integration with other government systems.
The centralized database will store comprehensive contractor details, licenses, certificates, and performance records. Leveraging AI/ML, data analytics, and the ‘One PAN-One Licence’ framework, the platform aims to reduce corruption, enhance work quality, and boost productivity across Odisha’s infrastructure sector.
Contractors will benefit from easy profile updates, real-time application tracking, and timely notifications, while government departments gain efficient data management tools for better monitoring and faster, informed decision-making.
Simultaneously, the e-IB portal digitizes the booking process for PWD Inspection Bungalows (IBs) in Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Konark. The platform offers online room booking and cancellation, real-time availability checks, centralized booking information, and status tracking from anywhere with internet access. Replacing the manual system, e-IB promises greater transparency, accountability, and elimination of delays, benefiting both government officials and the general public.
These launches underscore the Works Department’s commitment to e-Governance, efficiency, and citizen-centric services in Odisha.
