Authorities in Bihar and Kerala confirmed that threatening emails warned of explosions at the Patna Civil Court in Bihar and the Kasaragod Court in Kerala.
The messages mentioned plans to blow up court buildings, spreading fear among staff, lawyers, and litigants.
Police teams rushed to the affected courts. Bomb squads and dog squads carried out detailed inspections inside and outside the premises. Officers reported no suspicious objects but maintained strict vigilance to ensure safety.
Officials stated that these incidents are not isolated. Similar bomb threats previously targeted courts in Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and Gujarat. In Gujarat, one email threatened to destroy a court building, raising suspicions of a larger conspiracy.
Cyber cell teams began tracing the origin of the threatening emails. Investigators examined IP addresses and technical details to identify the culprits. Police sources confirmed that the probe continues, with security tightened across multiple courts nationwide.
In Odisha, three courts—Cuttack District Judge Court, Deogarh Court, and Sambalpur Court—also received bomb threats today. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi ordered a probe and directed senior officials to monitor the situation closely.
The series of bomb threat emails highlights growing concerns about judicial security in India. Authorities stressed the importance of vigilance and swift investigation to restore public confidence.
