Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep concern after reports of bomb threats at district-level courts in Sambalpur, Cuttack, and Deogarh.

To address the situation, the Chief Minister held discussions with the Chief Secretary, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, and the Director General of Police. He directed senior officials to investigate the matter thoroughly and identify the culprits involved.

Moreover, Majhi instructed authorities to deploy senior officers to the affected locations and maintain strict surveillance. He emphasised that protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the government’s top priority and warned that no complacency can be tolerated in matters of public safety.

In addition, the Chief Minister stressed the need to collect detailed information from the ground and uncover the motive behind such threats. He described the incident as extremely serious and urged officials to act swiftly to restore confidence among the public.

Finally, Majhi announced that he will chair a high-level meeting later in the evening to review the situation and assess the progress of the investigation.
