Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday spoke with his Israeli counterpart, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as the two leaders exchanged New Year greetings and reaffirmed their shared commitment to combating terrorism.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi said, “Glad to speak with my friend, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and convey New Year greetings to him and the people of Israel.”
During the conversation, both leaders discussed the current regional situation and shared their perspectives on key geopolitical developments. They reiterated their strong and united stance against terrorism, underlining the importance of continued cooperation in addressing security challenges.
“We also exchanged views on the regional situation and reaffirmed our shared resolve to fight terrorism with greater determination,” the Prime Minister said. He added that the discussion included ways to further strengthen the India-Israel strategic partnership in the year ahead.
India and Israel share close ties across several sectors, including defence, technology, innovation, agriculture, and counter-terrorism. The latest interaction reflects the continued engagement between the two nations and their commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation amid evolving regional and global dynamics.
