With an eye on the upcoming Panchayat elections, a high-level strategic meeting of the Odisha BJP was held at the state party headquarters on Wednesday. The crucial session was chaired by BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Santosh in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, State President Manmohan Samal, State In-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar, Co-in-charge Lata Usendi and other senior leaders.
The meeting focused on giving “guru mantra” to the newly appointed organisational district in-charges and office-bearers of all party morchas (wings). Senior leaders advised the new appointees to take the benefits of Central and State government welfare schemes to every citizen of Odisha and work towards making the party organisation all-pervasive and all-touching at the grassroots.
Discussion centred on strengthening coordination between the party and the state government, further consolidating the organisation at mandal, block and district levels, and replicating the massive victory achieved in the recent Nuapada by-election in the forthcoming rural polls.

Party leaders made it clear that the goal of building a prosperous Odisha can only be realised through a strong and vibrant organisation. Newly appointed officials were clearly explained their specific responsibilities and were urged to hit the ground running.
Speaking to the media, senior BJP leader (referred to as Shri Tripathi in the report) exuded confidence, stating, “The BJP is fully prepared for the Panchayat elections. We will fight strongly and win decisively because the people of Odisha have always blessed the BJP. The party is serving the people of Odisha with complete dedication.”
Notably, on Tuesday, the party had assigned responsibilities to all six morchas and organisational in-charges of all districts.
