Chief Minister  Mohan Charan Majhi attended the state-level birth anniversary celebrations of Biju Patnaik at the Jayadev Bhawan and emphasized the government’s commitment to realizing Biju Babu’s unfulfilled dreams for Odisha.

“Biju Babu’s every step inspires us,” said Chief Minister Majhi. He highlighted Biju Patnaik’s significant contributions to the industrial sector and his dedication to women’s empowerment and village development.

The Chief Minister announced the government’s plan to spend Rs 10,000 crore over the next five years on the ‘Bikasita Gaan, Bikasita Odisha’ scheme to fulfill Biju Babu’s vision.

Majhi also mentioned the government’s efforts to industrialize Odisha, with investment proposals worth Rs 17 lakh crore received at the Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha Conclave. He assured that industries would be established in every district to strengthen the state’s economy.

In a significant move, the Chief Minister announced the revival of the ‘Kalinga Football Cup’ initiated by Biju Babu and the continuation of the UNESCO Kalinga Prize. He also addressed the recent vandalism of Biju Babu’s statue, stating that the government has taken action and arrested three individuals.

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Agriculture and Farmer Empowerment and Energy Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, along with Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Women and Child Development and Tourism Smt. Pravati Parida shared their personal experiences with Biju Patnaik and praised his dedication to serving the grassroots people.

Former Minister Prafulla Ghadai, the chief speaker at the event, lauded Biju Babu’s unparalleled efforts in establishing industries in Odisha and commended the current government’s dedication to building on his foundation for the state’s development.

The event also saw the inauguration of a photo exhibition showcasing Biju Babu’s life and legacy, further inspiring the people of Odisha to follow his principles and ideals.
