Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Majhi underscored the government’s vision of achieving a “Prosperous Odisha by 2036” and a “Developed India by 2047.” He reminded officials that they serve as grassroots representatives of the state and bear responsibility for implementing government schemes effectively.

Meanwhile, Majhi highlighted his extensive outreach, noting that in 524 days of governance, he toured almost all districts, including 32 visits each to Cuttack and Keonjhar. He emphasised that Odisha must rank among the top five states by 2036 and acknowledged the challenges ahead. Furthermore, he cited the success of the first Utkarsa Odisha Conclave, which attracted investment proposals worth ₹22 lakh crore, as a milestone in the state’s development journey.

In addition, Majhi issued a strong directive to the Ganjam district administration. He pointed out that Subarnapur village in Asika block still lacks electricity even after 78 years of independence, forcing children to study under lanterns and candles. He instructed the Ganjam Collector to ensure immediate power connection to the village.

Moreover, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari addressed the gathering and expressed concern over corruption. He stressed the need to eliminate the “middleman system” from government offices and urged officials to act promptly without delaying tasks. His remarks reinforced the government’s goal of establishing a corruption-free administration.

At the same time, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja directed collectors to increase field visits, interact more with citizens, and review progress directly. He urged officials to shed colonial attitudes, respect people visiting government offices, and improve coordination among departments to avoid delays. He reiterated that all government work must be “outstanding” to meet leadership expectations.
