Kamakhyanagar: An Anganwadi worker suffered critical burn injuries in a suspected fire mishap in her house at Asanpatia Sahi of Jirala panchayat under Kamakhyanagar police station limits in Dhenkanal district.
She has been identified as Samita Mishra (45), an Anganwadi worker of ward no 1 of Asanpatia Sahi. Reportedly, she has been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
As per sources, Samita was rescued with critical burn injuries on her body this afternoon from her house. She was initially rushed to the district headquarters hospital and later shifted to SCBMCH as her condition deteriorated.
According to sources, Samita was staying in Asanpatia Sahi with her young daughter following a dispute with her husband. She
“The cause of the fire was not immediately clear, but police are investigating,” the source added.
