At 64 years old, Sanae Takaichi, often referred to as Japan’s ‘Iron Lady,’ made history with her victory, marking a significant milestone for gender representation in Japanese politics. Known for her decisive leadership and strong political vision, Takaichi is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing Japan’s domestic and foreign policy initiatives.
Analysts note that her leadership could further reinforce Indo-Japanese cooperation in trade, technology, and regional security, bolstering ties between the two countries in the Indo-Pacific region.
