Brahmapur-Surat Amrit Bharat Express New Weekly Starts Oct 6

Weekly Service Links Key Industrial Hubs, Promising Faster Travel and Economic Growth

In a major push for seamless rail travel, the Ministry of Railways has greenlit the permanent weekly operation of the 19022/19021 Brahmapur–Surat (Udhna)–Brahmapur Amrit Bharat Express.


This initiative is set to revolutionise long-distance connectivity. It aims to bridge vital regions across Western, Central, and Eastern India.

East Coast Railway (ECoR) emphasise that the service will supercharge economic activity by connecting essential hubs for minerals, textiles, and trade. It promises to streamline business operations and ease workforce mobility, fostering robust regional development.

Brahmapur-Surat Amrit Bharat Express Schedule, Stops & Features

Schedule:
  • Train No. 19022 (Brahmapur to Surat Udhna): Departs Brahmapur every Monday at 23:45 hrs, beginning October 6, 2025. It reaches Udhna Junction at 08:45 hrs on Wednesdays.
  • Train No. 19021 (Surat Udhna to Brahmapur): Leaves Udhna every Sunday at 07:10 hrs,. Arrival at Brahmapur is scheduled for the following day at 13:55 hrs.
Stops:

The route features stops at prominent stations such as Palasa, Vizianagaram, Rayagada, Titlagarh, Raipur, Nagpur, Bhusaval, and Nandurbar. For added convenience, both directions will include halts at Srikakulam, Bobbili, Parvatipuram, Sungarpur Road, Muniguda, Kesinga, Kantabanji, Khariar Road, Mahasamund, Lakholi, Durg, Gondia, Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Malkapur, Jalgaon, Dharangaon, Amalner, Sindkheda, Dondaicha, Navapur, Vyara, and Bardoli.

Features

Equipped with 22 state-of-the-art Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coaches, the train offers a blend of comfort and efficiency: 11 General Second Class sitting coaches, 8 Sleeper Class coaches, 2 Second Class cum Luggage/Divyangjan coaches, and 1 Pantry Car. Passengers can look forward to a safer, swifter, and more enjoyable journey.

ECoR underscores the train’s role as a game-changer for long-haul rail links. With its contemporary features, budget-friendly pricing, and LHB technology, it caters especially to middle-class travellers. Additionally, it drives economic momentum and people-focused progress across connected states.
