Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed the law and order situation in Odisha during a meeting with senior officials at Kharavel Bhavan on Saturday.
He emphasized that peace and stability are essential for the state’s development.
Majhi held discussions with top administrators as the government approaches its two-year milestone. He reviewed progress on promises made, implementation of welfare schemes, industrialisation efforts, employment opportunities, and future strategies.
The Odisha CM law and order review focused on strengthening policing and ensuring effective governance. Majhi recalled his earlier high-level meetings where he advised police officials to adopt practical measures for improving law and order. He reiterated that the police must act with efficiency and vigilance to maintain peace.
Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department Hemant Sharma and Director General of Police Y.B. Khurania joined the meeting. They discussed compliance with the Chief Minister’s directives and strategies to enhance public safety.
Majhi underlined that a peaceful environment is critical for industrial growth, investment, and job creation. He urged police officers to remain alert and proactive in addressing challenges. Advisor Prakash Mishra also attended the meeting, adding inputs on strengthening administrative coordination.
