Jason Sanjay, son of Kollywood superstar and Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thalapathy Vijay, is gearing up for his directorial debut with the Tamil action-heist thriller Sigma, starring Sundeep Kishan.
Ahead of the film’s scheduled release on Oct 2, 2026, the debutant filmmaker opened up about how his father might react to his first venture.
“My dad is usually a quiet person. He takes his time… I think you need more time to analyse the film. But he’ll like the film; he’ll be proud,” Jason said on Pearle Maaney’s YouTube show giving fans a candid peek into their personal bond.
Looking ahead, Jason expressed a strong desire to direct Vijay in a future project, specifically aiming to revive the superstar’s trademark comedy timing. He observed that while his father has recently favored intense action roles, he hopes to showcase Vijay’s lighthearted, child-like inner humor on the big screen.
