Bhubaneswar: SMC Power Generation Limited has contributed Rs 51 lakh to the Odisha Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for its participation in the fight against COVID-19 in the state.
Today, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra received a check of the same amount from Mulchand Agrawal, chairman of the company, and JP Sharma, chief managing director, at the Lok Seba Bhavan here.
On this occasion, Chairman of SMC Power, Mulchand Agrawal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his vision towards management of COVID-19, the situation in Odisha is under control. Odisha is in a better position than many states in terms of COVID-19 management.
The Chief Secretary thanked the company authorities for such generous cooperation and urged them to continue to enforce and raise awareness of COVID rules at their industrial and individual levels.
