In a proud moment for Odisha and India, Tahid Hasan Khan, a seventh-grade student from DAV School, Unit-8, Bhubaneswar, has clinched first place in an international modeling competition recently held in Vietnam.
Representing Tara village in Nabarangpur block, Tahid outshone 57 contestants from various countries, earning the coveted title and the special recognition of “Super Talent.”
The four-day event featured rounds such as National Costume and Talent Showcase, where Tahid’s exceptional performance captivated the judges. His training was guided by renowned mentors including Ayana Rautray, winner of Mission Dreams Miss India, and dance guru Bidu Sethy. Under the supervision of Jyotirmayee Mahapatra, State Director of Mister & Miss Teen Super Globe and Junior Model International, Tahid brought immense pride to Odisha.
He received his artistic training at Saikrupa Kala Kendra, and his victory has sparked celebrations across Nabarangpur. Local artists and residents have extended heartfelt congratulations to Tahid and his proud parents, Tariq Hasan Khan and Asma Bano. Notably, Tahid is the grandson of the late Habibullah Khan, a former minister of Odisha.
