Smt. Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary of the Housing & Urban Development Department, declared the next decade as the era of urban development during an orientation session for the Mukhyamantri Sahari Bikas Yojana (MSBY) held at the SUDA Conference Hall.
Addressing engineers, MIS professionals, accountants, and team leads from Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and District Urban Development Agencies (DUDAs), she emphasized building inclusive, sustainable, and dignified cities.
“Urban transformation is not just about infrastructure but about creating cities that uplift lives,” Smt. Padhee stated. She highlighted that the MSBY initiative is designed to strengthen ULBs and DUDAs, fostering citizen-centric governance and quality service delivery. Urging participants to embrace innovation and technology, she added, “Our efforts today will shape the future. Knowledge, not positions, brings true dignity.”
The session saw active engagement, with Director Municipal Administration Shri Arindam Dakua, Director SUDA Shri Rabindra Sahoo, and senior officers in attendance. Smt. Padhee encouraged participants to take ownership of their roles, stating, “We are all partners in creating stronger urban futures. Let’s ensure the system moves in the right direction.”
