The dead body of a youth was found floating in a pond in Kendrapara district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Kahnu Charan Nath of Birasoati village.
As per initial reports, Kanhu had left home at night on New Year’s Eve to attend the Zero Night festivities. Family members claimed that he didn’t return last night. Later, his body was recovered from the pond.
Meanwhile, the police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. An investigation has been launched into the matter.
