Daspalla: The absence of pucca road, connecting to Gendali village in Nayagarh district, forced a woman to be transported on a cot to cover around 10 kms distance to reach ambulance.
The ambulance could not reach the village due to the worst condition of the road. the woman suffered a labor pain, following which she was lifted on a cot up to 10 kms to a waiting ambulance with the help of come villagers. From there, she was taken to the Daspalla medical.
It is worth mentioning that the villagers suffer a lot for going outside due to absence of pucca road in the area. They have complained before the administration regarding this several times, but no steps have been taken yet.
