Bhubaneswar: Medical equipment worth around Rs 60 lakh were stolen from the Capital Hospital here on Tuesday night.
Police suspect the involvement of some employees and security personnel. The stolen instruments are meant for conducting various pathological tests for Malaria and Dengue.
Capital Hospital Director L D Sahu today said some unused and new instruments kept in the lab were stolen by some people and police are inquiring into the incident after a formal complaint.
He further said that CCTV footage shows some people wearing dresses similar to employees seen taking the instruments in a sack.
