In a decisive operation against wildlife crimes, Odisha police arrested four persons involved in an illegal hunting attempt in Talgaon forest near Beguniapada.
Acting on intelligence, law enforcement officials conducted a raid late Sunday night, catching the suspects red-handed with two country-made firearms.
The arrested individuals were identified as Ashok Kumar Behera and Rohit Behera from Talgaon, along with Sridhar Sabar and Dhanu Sabar from Badapalli. Authorities seized their weapons and filed charges under Case No. 317/25 at the Beguniapada police station. The suspects were produced in court on Monday.
Officials emphasized the importance of protecting local wildlife and strengthening enforcement against poaching activities.
