Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister and local MLA, Pravati Parida, presented a comprehensive one-year report card during the second session of the ‘Utkarsha Nimapara Sammilani.’

She emphasised that being recognised as Odisha’s first woman Deputy Chief Minister is an honour for the people of Nimapara and Gop. Reflecting on the past year, she expressed gratitude to the electorate for their support and blessings.

Parida reaffirmed her election promise, stating, “Officials will come to you; you will not have to go to them,” highlighting her commitment to accessible governance. The session saw the participation of 33 officials from 11 different departments, addressing public concerns and showcasing completed developmental projects.

From hostel improvements for female students to infrastructure development, the session shed light on various progress reports. Key achievements included water drainage systems, road construction, land title distribution, and the Gop mega drinking water project. Additionally, funds were sanctioned for the renovation of eight temples, while veterinary ambulance services were launched to aid animal healthcare.

A budget of Rs 17 lakh was allocated for funeral services, ensuring dignity in the final rites of residents. Investment in education stood at Rs 22.44 crore, while Rs 146 crore was spent on transportation and Rs 213 crore on drinking water supply. Other sectors, including agriculture, social welfare, and sports, were also highlighted.

The closing session featured notable leaders, including Puri MP Sambit Patra, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, and Pipili MLA Ashrit Pattanayak. Cultural performances added vibrancy to the event, concluding with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the Deputy CM.
