The Madhya Pradesh High Court will conduct a crucial hearing today, May 26, regarding the NEET UG 2025 examination results.

The decision could impact thousands of students who faced severe power disruptions during the exam at multiple centres across Indore and Ujjain.

During the previous hearing on May 22, the National Testing Agency (NTA) assured the court that it would form a special committee to address grievances from affected centres. Advocate Mridul Bhatnagar, representing the petitioners, emphasised the need for a re-examination, arguing that students were forced to take the test under difficult conditions, including power cuts lasting up to two hours.

While the NTA acknowledged the disruptions, it maintained that the examination was conducted fairly. However, students and parents continue to push for corrective measures, fearing academic setbacks due to circumstances beyond their control.

The court had previously stayed results from 24 affected centres, allowing results from unaffected centres to be released. With 2.5 lakh students having appeared for the exam in Madhya Pradesh alone, today’s verdict could set a precedent for handling similar large-scale disruptions in the future.
