Bhubaneswar: Question Hour and Zero Hour, which were done away with during the last monsoon session due to COVID constraints, will be restored in the forthcoming budget session of Odisha Legislative Assembly.
This was informed by Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro after the all-party meeting.
Talking to the media persons, Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro said there the Budget session will be conducted in two sittings from 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM and from 4 PM to 6 PM. However, on special workdays, the duration will be extended by one hour till 7 PM.
Worth mentioning, the budget session of the Odisha Assembly will commence on February 18 and continue in two phases till April 9.
The Session will begin with the address by Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal. Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the budget for 2021-22 on February 22.
