India wrapped up its campaign at the Archery World Cup Stage 2 in Shanghai with an impressive haul of seven medals, including two gold, one silver, and four bronze.

Among the standout performances were Deepika Kumari and Parth Salunkhe, who clinched bronze medals in the recurve individual events.

Deepika Kumari, a seasoned Olympian and World Championship silver medalist, rebounded from a semifinal defeat to claim victory against Korea’s Kang Chae-young. Her achievement marked her 12th individual and 31st overall medal at an Archery World Cup Stage.

Meanwhile, Parth Salunkhe, competing in his maiden World Cup, showed remarkable determination. After falling short in the semifinals against Olympic champion Kim Woojin, he secured his bronze medal with a hard-fought win over France’s Baptiste Addis.

India’s compound archers also delivered outstanding performances, with Madhura Dhamangaonkar securing gold in the women’s individual compound category and the men’s compound team finishing atop the podium. The women’s compound team secured silver, while India bagged bronze in the compound mixed team event, a category set to debut at the 2028 Olympics.

With this stellar performance, India now sets its sights on the next stage in Antalya from June 3-8, gearing up for further success on the international archery circuit.
