In a mid-season move, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have signed Harsh Dubey as an injury replacement for Smaran Ravichandran for the remainder of the TATA IPL 2025.
Dubey, a promising all-rounder from Vidarbha, has showcased his talent in domestic cricket, amassing 127 wickets and 941 runs in 16 T20s, 20 List A, and 18 First-Class matches. The franchise confirmed that Dubey has been signed for INR 30 Lakh, reinforcing SRH’s squad as they push for a playoff berth.
Dubey has been a consistent performer in Indian domestic cricket, gaining recognition for his ability to contribute with both bat and ball. His adaptability across formats has earned him a reputation as a dependable player. With SRH looking to strengthen their team dynamics, Dubey’s entry provides additional depth to their squad.
Apart from Dubey’s signing, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have secured Urvil Patel as a replacement for Vansh Bedi, while Punjab Kings (PBKS) picked Mitch Owen as a replacement for the injured Glenn Maxwell.
As injuries continue to impact team compositions, franchises are making strategic decisions to ensure their squads remain competitive in the high-stakes IPL season.
With multiple IPL matches underway and teams recalibrating their line-ups, all eyes will be on Dubey to see how he fits into SRH’s game plan. Can he make an impact and cement his place in the side? Only time will tell.
