The Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Department has suspended two Additional Tehsildars of Bhubaneswar, Gitu Behera and Narayan Sethi, with immediate effect.

According to the official notification, both officers must remain at the Khordha District Collector’s office during their suspension period and cannot leave the district headquarters without prior permission. While the exact reasons for their suspension remain undisclosed, sources indicate that an inquiry has been initiated into their official conduct.

Given their postings in Bhubaneswar—a region critical for urban development and governance—the action has sparked discussions in administrative circles. The Revenue Department assures that further investigations will follow, ensuring compliance with the Odisha Government Servants’ Conduct Rules.

This decision underscores the government’s commitment to transparency and integrity in public service. More details are expected as the inquiry progresses.
