The Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) and NITI Aayog have announced a strategic partnership aimed at fostering entrepreneurship ecosystems across India.
This initiative will kickstart with pilot projects in Nagpur, Visakhapatnam, and Uttar Pradesh, focusing on empowering local entrepreneurs and addressing regional challenges.
This collaboration brings together key stakeholders, including government bodies, corporations, educational institutions, and financial organisations, to create localised solutions for sustainable business growth. GAME, known for its pioneering interventions in entrepreneurship, will implement methodologies such as access to finance, capacity-building programs, and policy advocacy.
“Our approach is rooted in end-to-end facilitation and collaboration across sectors. There is a need to leverage a bottom-up approach and work closely with local entrepreneurs and champions,” said Ishtiyaque Ahmed, Programme Director at NITI Aayog. The initiative seeks to transform entrepreneurship into a movement that drives economic growth and job creation.
GAME President Ketul Acharya emphasised the power of entrepreneurship in transforming lives, stating, “Together, we aim to create thriving local ecosystems that inspire innovation and drive inclusive growth.” With GAME having already impacted over 300,000 entrepreneurs, this partnership is expected to further accelerate opportunities for aspiring business owners.
By nurturing entrepreneurship at the grassroots level, GAME and NITI Aayog aim to build self-sustaining ecosystems that generate employment, encourage innovation, and contribute to India’s economic development.
